The Spanish brand Softheads, mix design and artisanship to gives a new ‘peace & fun’ take on the traditional taxidermy hunting trophy! The marriage between those tow tecniques has certainly made a big hit with retailers and key influencers.

Softheads was created in 2011 by Sergio Roger. This Catalan artist and designer came up with a bizarre menagerie that comprises horses, dogs wearing glasses and smoking pipes, bulls, bears and stags, as well as a selection of poultry, pigeons and swallows!
“These trophies are made just like sculptures. They give a new, pacific and humorous spin on traditional taxidermy. Each one is unique and made by hand using only the best fabrics. We choose to have them made in workshops that promote social inclusion, because the ethical values of sustainable development are very important to us”, explains Sergio, who runs the brand twith his partner, Cristina Oliver.
The collection have a huge variety of different designs, the brand’s good-natured take on taxidermy has caught the eye of distributors and retailers with Azul Tierra in Barcelona and Barneys in New York.
The list of hotels in Barcelona, using their products, are constantly increasing! From Ritz Palace to the Yurbban, without forgets the Zoo Hotel, they are going crazy with Softhead’s collection of playful hunting trophies
The brand also works to order on projects for key influencers. The next collection is: “A limited series of busts made from old, hand-embroidered sheets that will be reminiscent of Greco-Roman statues.”
