TOM DIXON
And, of course you already know that Tom Dixon is also here at Maison et Objet. In fact, the british designer took the opportunity to present his latest bathroom and spa collection that takes his design creations even further. During his conference ‘Exploring New Territories: A New Found Passion for Bathrooms, Lotions and Potions’, Dixon talked about his new products and explained how and why he was able to put his ideas and olfactive emotions literally inside a bottle.
This new approach came to be as the result of a new founded reflexion on everyday spaces. There are three main collections: London, Royalty and Orientalist. All scents present in the different products came from the designer experiences throughout his life. For example, the Orientalist collection is a comeback to his personal trips across Tunisia and other exotic countries, as well as the people he’s met during these trips.
Tom Dixon mentioned during this talk that we’d always wanted to produce accessories and other products for interior, so this had to be a reality eventually. Luckily they are now available and the lighting designer can now expand his vision and other realities with us in a different and more intimate way. The products come at a very friendly price, with an amazing charcoal soap selling at approximately €26.
