For this week’s moment of ‘Room of the Week’ we’re stepping inside interior designer Peter Som’s mid-century living room. You’ll quickly realize how it is a stunning space, filled with classic yet modern furniture and lighting pieces, where neutral tones and unique patterns take all the credit.

The first thing that captures your attention is the clean and smooth color palette. Black, beiges and whites set the tone for the living room. Then, a few animal prints and some other prints create a bold look and break the easiness of the neutrals.

Duke floor lamp by DelightFULL might just the perfect addition to this mid-century living room!
The mirrored center table is definitely a high point of the whole living room design. It looks great against the dark sofa, especially with a few fresh flowers on top!
Although Winter is almost gone and Spring is already showing its colors, the fireplace is still an element that never fails to amaze. The mantel extends asymmetrically across the space to allow for some extra shelving on the left side for display. How clever is that?
There’s also a dining room space available, with a color block dark wood cabinet and a beautiful modern floor lamp. All in all, it’s a great mid-century living room, that celebrates the more vintage and contemporary sides of home design (the dining tables and chairs are a great example of how that works!).
