With you again for another ‘Room of the Week’ moment, today we’re stepping inside a magnificent formal living room that was transformed into something even more fashionable and edgy! Interior designer Simone Haag – whom we absolutely love and have talked about before – took this project and she totally outdid herself.

Armadale residence, as it is called, is the home of Penelope Cohen, Creative Director of fashion label Skin and Threads. What Simone did was to transform Cohen’s formal victorian-inspired living room into a contemporary and feminine open living space.

“Knowing her client wasn’t shy of color or texture – Simone incorporated plums, navys, and mustards into the space. The dining chairs all differ slightly in tone and tie back to the Colin Penock painting.”
The interior stylist decided to use a series of vintage pieces, such as the Italian 50’s chairs, the bar cart and the Danish vintage lamp. Simone overlaid the space with ceramics and objects and of course worked in the client’s library of incredible fashion books.
All in all, the living room is a fresh and modern space, filled with a very cozy vibe that exudes femininity and elegance. The perfect inspiration for your Spring decor!
