In Vienna, an apartment, renovated by Slovenian architects Kombinat, features a combined living space with room for both cooking and working.

The firm demolished a wall that was dividing the space to create the area in the 96-square-metre apartment, which has a view to the Austrian capital.

To make this area work as a kitchen, office and meeting place, the architects installed a long counter that functions as a dining table but also a workstation when needed.

Next to the front window, we can find wooden storage which forms both a kitchen counter and a place to read and relax.

To complete the space, Kombinat added pale pink seating and pendant lighting, along with pastel green tiles.

The kitchen and hallway walls are painted in muted colors, with sections of blue and pink tiling marking out hooks for the owners to hang their bikes.

The place also features a library area with a desk and a sofa, and a bedroom situated at the back of the building, near the quieter courtyard area.

The bedroom is painted in blue tones and has a collection of wooden pegs in the wall for hanging items such as hats, scarves or headphones.

A walk-in closet divides the room from the rest of the apartment.
