Let’s fall in love with a tiny house in Finland that is so small that it doesn’t even require a permit.
Brace yourself… You’re about to meet a tiny house, that is one of the most adorable houses we have ever. Robin Falck is the Finnish designer behind this amazing “mökki”( wooden cottage). He has built this Scandinavian house for is own in a place he found while hiking in the woods. This amazing country house design was named Nido, that means “bird’s nest” in Italian, which speaks to the feeling created inside by the large lake facing window open to the lake.
96 square feet doesn’t sound like much, but when you see Robin Falck’s lakeside cabin, you can quickly realize that an incredible view and an eco interior is all you need to call this place a home and to make it a compact get-away, just like the designer wanted.
With a natural interior and an eco design, the two-story home in Finland took only two weeks to complete, required no permits, and costs about $10,500 ( not including his own labor).
With a Scandinavian design, Robin’s cabin was built using as much locally sourced and recycled materials as he could find. He says the angle and size of the windows provide the interior a lot of natural light, allowing him to admire the stars at night.
The first floor is a lounge area with micro-kitchen, while the second story loft is for sleeping and storage. With a Finish design, in every single detail of this micro-cabin, you can find Robin’s fingerprint.
