Santambrogio designers had built a house made of glass. This material is explored, both indoor and outdoor.
Some people say that “people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”. Behind this metaphorical meaning, there’s no reason to worry about it, probably because you never saw a house totally made of glass. Santambrogio designers made it possible: two houses completely made of glass, even some of the interior furniture.
Carlo Santambrogio and Ennio Asic transformed blue hued glass into walls and designed shelters that erase the boundaries between the interior and the exterior of the house. Eyes petrify against these houses and day dreamers are allowed. The staircase, the dinner table and some other elements are made of glass.
Neighbours are not allowed if you are a shy resident. Anyway, this property was made after a request from a costumer, who has a big land for his own. Simplicity is the main line of the project and the cube is just as minimalistic as it can be. The sky, the forest and the environment are shared twenty four hours a day, rushing the house with elegance and deep plainness.
The majesty of the building takes our breath away
Near the sea, a perfect example of great architecture
