Jazz has always been one of DelightFULL’s biggest and most important influences. Drawing inspiration from one of the most famous trumpeters of his time, DelightFULL has created Clark pendant lamp. And if you are familiar with the jazz world, you are probably very aware of the amazing Clark Terry, the great American swing and bebop trumpeter, a pioneer of the flugelhorn in jazz. Clark mid-century lighting design tried to capture the essence of what the musician used to play, so it is a complex and intricate piece that will leave you absolutely mesmerized.

Clearly inspired by one of jazz’s most important instruments, Clark pendant lamp has the ability of looking extremely simple, at the same time it exudes an intricate nature with all its twisted arms, much like an improv jazz or blues’ song. You never know where the next turn will lead you…
In the 3D version of the lamp below, you can understand how this complex nature of the lamp is created and how, at the same time, it can be placed in more simple and neutral rooms, because it still features a very speakeasy vibe. Very bohemian chic, much like the 60’s.
LET’S GET INTO DETAILS!
Entirely made of brass, this mid-century lamp was built using the classic method of bending the brass twice into a rounded oblong shape, which allows for bright and load casts of light. It can then be finished in a golden bath, exactly like one of Clark Terry’s trumpets! However, you can also have it finished in copper or nickel, getting to choose the finish which best suits your ongoing project.
