Milan Design Week takes place in Milan next April from 9th to 14th and it offers an varied and exciting events at the same time. From the acclaimed designer to the architecture student, all consider it an essential stage in one’s career.
This year’s edition has a lot to offer allocated in the several Milan Design Week sections, from Zona Tortora to Brera, from Spazio Ventura to Lambrate, to the fashion district – the so-called Quadrilatero – hosting events organized by the various fashion houses. Openings, cocktails and exhibitions feature aplenty in the programme of this 6-day initiative dedicated to home spaces and design.
The events will start in 8th April with the opening of Van Cleef & Arpels exposition boutique in via Verri, 10 18.00-22.00.

Barnaba will introduce during the Isaloni event some iconic pieces of furniture from the Fornasetti imagination and adds to these, as is customary for this period of the year, with one of his reinventions, a contemporary vision that embellishes Fornasetti’s vast and eclectic world.?During the event the new oval table “Peccato originale” and the new side cabinet “Buffet Frutto del peccato” will be presented, both Barnaba Fornasetti’s re-invention that are the result of a search for an increasingly distant paradise.

Be Open Food theatre Press preview Moroso showroom via Pontaccio, 8 17.00-8.30
BE OPEN’S journey continues in Milan at Fuorisalone 2013, hosts a unique event focusing on the sense of taste, with an innovative food experience at Moroso’s showroom in via Pontaccio. Using Kvadrat’s textiles and Moroso’s furniture, celebrated designer Patricia Urquiola creates a ‘stage’ for Italian Massimiliano Alajmo, the world’s youngest chef to be awarded 3 Michelin Stars and the Danish duo I’m a Kombo, in which they create sensory themed food.

Foscarini presents Yoko at Salone Internazionale del Mobile Euroluce 2013 (until 14th April)
At Euroluce 2013 Foscarini will present a preview of the new features of its collection on a stand designed by Ferruccio Laviani. A 200 m2 area will be dedicated to the Successful Living from Diesel collection, presented in a space designed by the Diesel Creative Team.
