The Met Gala’s theme of 2018 was the Catholic church. Presenting the new exhibition “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” was surely a quite peculiar theme but the night was an astounding one. The place where some of the most famous faces from the realms of fashion, film, music and art come together brought some of the best dressed of the evening. Gathering some of New York high society finest, the Met Gala was brought alive by angelic faces, heavenly dresses and accessories to kill for. Marking the events the 70th anniversary, the Met Gala was co-chaired by some of the finest names, Amal Clooney, Rihanna and Donatella Versace.
Taking place in Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The guests were surprised by Madonna who opened her set with a rendition of Like A Prayer. This year’s exhibition is spread across three venues: the Anna Wintour Costume Center, the medieval galleries at the Met’s main location, and at the Cloisters, further uptown.

Blake Lively in Atelier Versace and Christian Louboutin shoes with a Judith Leiber Couture bag. Simply put, astounding. Go big or go home right?
Props to Zendaya, for a forward-thinking homage to Joan of Arc. The woman who had to be burnt alive for the church to realise she was a saint all along. Iconic, just like always.
And we couldn’t leave this icon of music out. Bad girl Ri Ri wore Maison Margiela by John Galliano.
Katy Perry Versace is an outrageous soul, so why not go bold? One of the looks of the season we can surely say.
Shawn Mendes and Hailey Baldwin wearing custom Tommy Hilfiger with Tiffany & Co jewellery. Simple, elegant, on point and one of the best we’ve seen during the Met Gala!
While gold, white and grey were the colours of the gala, Diane Kruger wearing Prabal Gurung, brings a splash of colour with blue.
Gigi Hadid just looked right out of a fairytale aren’t we right? Wearing Versace, this a primary example of how simple and elegant go hand in hand.
Jourdan Dunn wearing Diane von Furstenberg. Because white and red are one of our all-time favourites.
Gold is always a dead drop look wherever you see it. So, it’s naturally a look when you see Irina Shayk wearing a gold Versace and Bradley Cooper wearing Tom Ford. A timeless classic that just fits right in.
And speaking about gold… Jasmine Sanders wearing H&M was just a highlight of the evening.
We couldn’t end this stylish article without mentioning the glamorous hairstyle. Romantic, super long braids adorned with roses fit just right into the outfit.
