The wedding of the year is here! – Well, it’s two days away but well, shhh – The world has been buzzing since the royal announcement and we’re here to answer all your questions about the wedding of the year! With so much to cover and so much to be delighted by, we found just the 10 facts you were missing about The Royal Wedding event!

On Saturday, May 18th of 2018 the wedding of the year is going to be happening! Scheduled for 7 am, the Windsor Castle is going to be filled with love and happiness. Saint Georges Castle, the blesser of them all. Sadly, the 600 hundred wedding invitations were filled to the brim on March 22nd so, you’ll only be able to watch it through other channels.
GUESTS
With some of the predictable guests on the venue, some were very controversial. Which ones, you ask, and we’ll tell! The groom’s friends, Guy Pelly, Tom Inskip and Thomas van Straubenzee, among others. Meanwhile, the when it comes to the bride, some famous friends are being taken into account! Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra and Sarah Rafferty, who starred with the bride in the hit tv show Suits. Victoria Beckham, fabulous as ever, confirmed she’s going as well.
Meanwhile… The president of USA wasn’t invited! In an official statement, it claimed that “It has been decided that an official list of political leaders — both U.K. and international — is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s wedding” – talk about a scandal.
DRESS CODE
YES, there is a dress code! YES, with the funny hats and all. The women are expected to wear day dresses and men are supposed to wear uniforms, morning coats or lounge suits – meaning business suits. And of course, expect the hats. All the hats.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony will be performed by Right Rev. David Conner, also known as the dean of Windsor, is the spiritual head of St. George’s Chapel and will perform the service. The Most Rev. and Right Honorable Justin Welby, the archbishop of Canterbury, and the Most Rev. Michael Curry, the first African-American leader of the Episcopal Church, will officiate.
THE BRIDE
Now, onto something we all want to know – the ring, the dress, all of it!
THE BACHELORETTE PARTY
Apparently, the bride had a spa themed bachelorette party at the Soho Farmhouse, a countryside arm of the members-only Soho House, in March. And yes, she will have bridesmaids, 6 exactly.
THE RING
Designed by Harry himself, the ring comprises a large central diamond that comes from Botswana and some smaller diamonds that belonged to his late mother, Princess Diana. In the prince’s own words – “The little diamonds [on] either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection, to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together.”
THE DRESS
This is the question of the moment. From designers, Erdem and Antonio Berardi and American labels Marchesa and Misha Nonoo – this being a close friend of the bride.
THE GROOM
The groom can possibly wear one of the many available Blues and Royals uniforms at his wedding. Or not.
THE GIFTS
The couple of the year asked the guests to not get them anything. Meghan and Harry asked the well-wishers to donate for some of the charities they have chosen. Some of them are: CHIVA (Children’s H.I.V. Association), Crisis, Myna Mahila Foundation.
THE HONEYMOON
It hasn’t been confirmed but… Namibia is one of the top picks! Accordingly to Travel and Leisure, a source close of the couple has confirmed the honeymoon in the southern African nation.
