Exploring what the European craftsmanship heritage, Homo Faber came to revolutionize the world. With intense care, this will be the place where the arts and crafts that are around us in design and fashion meet. An immersive experience, you’ll be able to touch, see and have a small taste of this world has to offer.
The first edition of the event is organized by the Michaelangelo Foundation. This extraordinary event comes to revolutionize the world. Aiming to recognize and put on a global scale how craftsmanship is such an important step in the world of design.
“The exhibition will bring together a vast range of materials and disciplines, from jewellery to bespoke bicycles, from the rarest artisanal techniques to some of the most iconic examples of the finest European workmanship.”
Displaying their work, during the Homo Faber exhibit you’ll be able to see and feel how much love, passion and skill these artisans have for what they do. One very special exhibit will take place where you’ll be able to wonder an intimate sighting of the world and work of 12 special European artisans.
“Three of the artisans will be showcased in virtual reality experiences that are as unique as the individuals themselves. Guided in their journey by a virtual giant, visitors will be immersed in the artisan’s workshop and have the chance to participate in the process of creation, getting a hands-on introduction to the incredible techniques and ancient skills involved in semi-precious stone mosaics, automata and enamelling. “
One of the most expected parts of the Homo Faber event is how does craftsmanship play in the role of luxury design pieces? Here you’ll be able to find how 20 master artisans work, selected by the French Institut National des Métiers d’Art (INMA). The visitors will be able to experience how such masterpieces of true luxury are made and interact with the artisans who, with so much love, do what they do.
