Telling stories in form of light, the Festival of Lights is here to inspire the millions that go through and have the experience of seeing the whole art installations. Telling stories, drawing paths and grabbing the attention of the visitors, light is the solemn art that these artists need.
Bathing Berlin into a mystic aura, the event you won’t want to miss is the opening night. The opening ceremony will take place on Alexanderplatz / Neptunbrunnen on the 5th of October at 7:30 pm. Save your seat early, because like every year, this fascinating opening night will be packed!
This year, for the first time in the history of events, the Berlin festival pleasantly surprised its visitors with no more than two walking routes through the light installations. Called “Walk of Light” you can expect a closer look at the illuminations and artworks seen in the festival first hand!
A battle between reality and imagination, the past 14 years have been filled with magic and joy. This year, that is going to be even better. Always innovating, the high-quality staging of historic landmarks, buildings and squares using light as a resource.
With special events around the whole festival, there’s some you definitely need to tick off your checkbox. We’re talking about the Festival of Lights – Art Collective. The Art Collective consists of several light installations that tell stories and touch hearts. Colourful, special, imperative.
Within that, you can’t miss the opportunity to see the “The Language of Love”. With an important message to be told, this building projection has the goal to impact into the visitors the importance of love and connection within cultures. So special that it’s going to tour through several countries to spread the word.
Grab the opportunity to see the Static Projections. “We tell the stories of the buildings through collages, pictures or 3D video mappings using specialised technical solutions. The pictures, with deep meanings and stories, appear on feet all over the world and can be used as marketing and communication tools. Dressing buildings in new colourful costumes temporarily.
