Beijing Design Week (BJDW) 2012 was launched on the 28th, Friday, and it runs till the 6th of October. They’ve spread the event across the city, from Dashilar to 751 D-Park and Caochangdi (CCD).
The week of exhibitions and fairs include a host of creative activities including: Augmented Reality Walk, The Bicycle Library, Building Beijing Brick by Brick, the Exhibition “How to…”, DE-SIGNED, GeoCity SmartCity, Handmade Movies, WUHAO DESIGNed Tours, The Real Network and GeoCity Smart City.
Among the highlights there is a pavilion created by prominent Brazilian designers (and brothers) Fernando and Humberto Campana; a traveling retrospective of famed British architect Lord Richard Rogers; and the Music and Design (M.A.D.) Festival, which includes acts from Germany, the U.S. and China.
