temporary museum

hiWHIM, during the Design Week, projects Superstudio Group into an interactive avant-garde.
hiWHIM in cooperation with superStudio Group will present,  at the Fuorisalone 2013 c/o the “Temporary Museum for New Design”, four state of the art installations realized by Italian artists of international standing.

In a world more and more virtual each day, constantly connected, interactive and ever evolving like ours, hiWHIM is a focal point, a virtual space collecting extraordinary visual events, creative and interactive solutions, forms of expression of the contemporary art with a high added value.
For the Fuorisalone 2013, hiWHIM selected Apparati Effimeri, ProvocActionArt, Carlo Bernardini and Romano Baratta: internationally recognized Italian artists who will create, for the wide spaces of the Temporary Museum, interactive projects of strong impact.

Cosmo Hotel Facade , an example of Aparatti Effimeri’s work

Visual Design company, established in Bologna in 2010 by Federico Bigi and Marco Grassivaro, operates experimenting the possibility of creating new relations between the old concept of vision and the contemporary techniques and approaches typical of visual art, will realize at Superstudiopiù “Roots”, a video projection staged ad hoc over the wall in front of the exhibit main entrance. The 3D projection, that reflects the exhibit theme “Roots”, will animate the natural elements of drawing, modifying the forms and reproducing the lights and shadows of the printed patterns.
Technical partner for the video projection is Visual Technology, a structure specialized in renting high brightness video projection apparatuses such as the projector Christie (up to 35.000 Ansi Lumen) and the server Pandora Box. Visual Technology regularly provides projectors and technical support to many international video mapping projects and to the biggest opera theaters, television and corporate events.
Music and Sound Design: Nicola Giannini

ProvocActionArt

studio più

Born in 2008, it’s the result of a combination of people involved in provoking actions, conditions for inspiration and project completion, apt to realize and divulge contemporary art through its numerous expressions.
With the 3D Programming, hardware engineering, software and multimedia by Manlio F. Tartara, Graphic and Web programming by Domenico Sestito, they will realize at Superstudiopiù “Chance” a Video installation with site-specific interactive environment, focusing on the “feeling of belonging” and the geographic boundaries created by mankind losing their meaning in front of the migration of people. Whether they are moving out of opportunity or for more complex factors of existential and cultural nature, they determine a level of vagueness and fortuity in the birth of every new generation.

Carlo Bernardini

carlo bernardini

Optic fibers installation

Artist living and working in Milano, he is teaching Multimedia installations at the Brera Accademia in Milano.
He has been working with fiber optics since the mid-90s, his environmental installations have been presented in the major Italian and international cities, obtaining prestigious prizes and recognitions.
At Superstudiopiù, he will bw present “Light Tension” a fiber optic light installation. The ever changing visual shapes, looked at from any points internal or external, determine a reconfiguration of space in a new architecture of light. The materials used by Carlo Bernardini for his major installation are the presence of a line and contemporarily its virtuality,  a presence much more evident as invisible is the support, much more physical as immaterial.

Romano Baratta

One of his latest projects, Light Tunnel

He is an Italian light artist and lighting designer. Light researcher, he theorized the concept of Light Anthropology, Light Philosophy, and Luminous Climate. Professor for lighting workshops and masters. Director of light culture portal Lighting Now! and of the Collettivo Azione Luce.

At Superstudio 13 he will realize “Light#16” light and colors setting that influence human psyche: the living unit “par excellence” contemplates a core allowing not only to execute the  primary physiological necessities but also to “cradle” the primary psychological needs. These last needs require a Luminous Climate that permits the right environmental imprinting. The modular interaction of light temperature and color allows us to cradle our being in an ideal way.
