The amazing Sou Fujimoto has created a shop and restaurant in Hong Kong, combining elements of his previous structures with traditional Indonesian craftwork, and the final result it’s completely stunning!
The Indonesian hotel brand PTT Family, has commissioned Fujimoto to create Potato Head Hong Kong, an out spot of the group’s popular Bali beach club.

The building combines a small coffee shop, homeware store bar at the front, and a restaurant and music lounge nestled behind. All the place seeks to evoke a residential feel with clearly defined programs that flow into one another.
The Japanese architect has created a cluster of thin white frames, echoing projects such as his 2013 Serpentine Gallery pavilion, what creates an assortment of display spaces in the shopfront, as well as the coffee counter.
The restaurant features more than 700 hand-painted panels that line the ceilings and wallsThe interior instills an inviting atmosphere, where locals are able to get coffee and shop for artisanal homeware while executives work in the lounge, and families dine at the restaurant.
