So, how is London? Is probably what you’re asking if you’re not from here, or you haven’t been here in a while. London is still amazing as ever. A vibrant and loud city, where you can find some of the best people, the most stunning architecture and the most inspiring designs and interior designers in the whole world. And that’s why we love it so much! A city that rarely sees the sun can be so colorful and bright in its own way, completely lighting up our lives and our past week! Let’s start with a little recap of our week before telling you all about we will be doing on our last week in the city!
ARCHITECTURE

We have been enjoying some of our time looking for the best architectural pieces in the city. And it just so simple! Everywhere you look there is an amazing building, with the most wonderful traits and you just have to snap a picture. During one of our days at Clerkenwell, we had the opportunity to visit one particular interior design studio that just happened to have this view… Yes, that view, the view from the photo above! It was just that mesmerizing! How can you not love London?

We then had to make a stop at the Portobello Road Market to look for some of the best vintage pieces in the city. And while we were walking amongst the crowds, little gems like the one above would just appear out of nowhere. Just casual streets filled with most cheery and colorful houses you could think of!

And, of course, we made our way to the Houses of Parliament and the Big Ben Tower just to remind ourselves that all architecture is beautiful and we couldn’t be in a more inspiring city for these two weeks!
INTERIOR DESIGN

Last Tuesday we have the amazing opportunity to meet up with three of Oliver Burns’ interior designers, as well as their marketing manager. After a tour around the refurbished Covet London, we got to talk with the team, asking them some of their biggest inspirations concerning interior design and what really does luxury mean to them. It was a lovely afternoon, spent amongst some of the biggest interior design lovers.

Not failing to mention, that we went hunting for some of the most iconic design pieces of the mid 20th century. Among many others, these were definitely our two favorites. A timeless boombox and, of couse, one of the most famous chairs of all times: the Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen!

But of course, one of our top moments of the whole week was the chance to visit Zaha Hadid Design Gallery. Immediately as you come in, you are greeted with this inspiring quote by the late architect and designer. And then you can stroll around the gallery, checking the studio’s latest and most iconic pieces. One of our favorite designs was this dining chair, which is just to die for! On the bottom floor you can see replicas of Zaha Hadid’s most acclaimed architecture works and it really is worth visiting.

MARKETS AND THE CITY

Finally, we have been taking some time off our weekends to snap a few photos from the best and most famous markets in the whole city. These two had to be included: Covent Garden and Chinatown in Soho. If you have been to the city, you can easily understand that as soon as you enter Covent Garden it’s like you’ve entered a different city. Everything is lovely, quainter and just overall very sophisticated (which, in this case, it is exactly like London).

Chinatown, on the other hand, is just one of those places you can’t miss. Everywhere you look there are Chinese characters and the architecture is just overall different from the stress across the road. The atmosphere is even more lively and, definitely, a must stop area for everyone visiting the city!
