The Best Design Weeks Happening in September All Over The World
The best month for design lovers is here and there’s so much to do!
September is already halfway through but there are still many design weeks or months to be a part of. This month brings with it a packed calendar of exciting happenings in the design world. Pack your bags because you will be traveling all month long!
Located in the creative heart of East London, the London Design Fair is a four-day industry event that brings together 550 exhibitors from 36 countries, including; independent designers, established brands, international country pavilions, features, and exhibitions.
As the most international trade destination during the annual London Design Festival over 28,000 influential; retail buyers, architects, interior designers, press, designers and design-savvy public attend to see and specify the very latest; furniture, lighting, textiles, materials and conceptual installations from around the world.

Design China Beijing
Design Shanghai is Asia’s leading international design event, breaking new ground and setting a precedent in Asia’s ever-growing design community. Showcasing the best designer brands and galleries from across the globe, Design Shanghai provides a unique and exciting platform to network, exchange and establish long-term business relations with Asia’s top architects, interior designers, property developers, retailers, collectors, and private buyers.
These event aims to explore how eastern and western design philosophies can work together synergistically across the five halls: Contemporary, Classic & Luxury, Collectibles, Kitchen & Bathroom, and Workplace. The event also features bespoke installations, an inspirational design forum, and exciting networking events.

Design Matters is a place for inspiring, competent, visionary, nerdy, engaging talks, workshops and discussions about the work and role of digital designers now and in the future.
Each year, they invite speakers from leading digital products from around the world, as well as startups and independent designers. These people come to talk about their design practice, challenges, and learnings, showing their work, their attempts, failures, and successes. This year we will also introduce a series of “Nerd tracks” – exploring a range of design topics in more depth. You can’t miss this big design event!

Vienna Design Week
Vienna Design Week is Austria’s largest design festival with a large number of venues throughout Vienna. The event, curated by Lilli Hollein, enters its twelfth round in this month. Participants will explore both practical and experimental approaches to design as it manifests itself in a variety of genres, including graphics, products, furniture, industry, and social design.
? Sept. 29–Oct. 7
Last but not least, you have to visit Expo Chicago. Chicago’s historic Navy Pier will host the most global edition of this annual art fair to date, with participants hailing from 27 countries and 63 cities.
Presented in partnership with the Terra Foundation for American Art and Art Design Chicago, a symposium titled “Present Histories: Art & Design in Chicago” will engage artists, curators, and professionals in a series of talks. Are you ready for September? It’s a look of good things to take in!
